Tsugi Original "Sake Thief"
Sake Dorobou — the signature starter that makes your sake disappear. Begin here, with a half-gō.
Fine-dining craft, at standing-bar prices.
Chef Abe has honed his craft for years at Michelin-starred restaurants. Here, you can casually experience the essence of Japanese cuisine, his uncompromising eye for ingredients, and the spirit of ultimate hospitality — highly refined skills usually reserved for courses costing tens of thousands of yen — at "standing-bar prices" starting from just a few hundred yen.
Elevating high-end restaurant quality to affordable prices — that is the value we offer, unmatched by any other. Top-tier techniques and carefully selected ingredients at standing-bar prices: we pour the pride of fine dining into every plate, effectively disregarding normal margins.
The name holds two meanings: the approachability of casually inviting someone for the "next (tsugi)" round, and our dedication to "passing down (tsugu)" Japan's wonderful food culture to the next generation. Gathered around a large single-slab table of Japanese horse chestnut or walnut at the center of the restaurant, strangers connect — a sophisticated social space for adults to drink and mingle smartly.
Eat 3 dishes, drink 3 drinks — still under ¥3,000.
To keep the evening smart and enjoyable for everyone, we operate on a 90-minute system. Drink well, leave gracefully.
A completely non-smoking space, so the delicate aromas of the food and the subtle flavors of our dashi stay pristine.
